Professor Mitsuo Umetsu, from Graduate School of Engineering, Tohoku University, founded RevolKa Ltd. (Hereafter, RevolKa) and developed an innovative AI-assisted protein engineering technology, called ai Protein® in collaboration with RevolKa. ai Protein® enables the efficient artificial evolution of proteins, achieving significantly improved functions and biophysical properties beyond those found in nature. Furthermore, it allows for the simultaneous optimization of multiple protein properties, a process known as multi-properties engineering. This technology opens up a new era of protein applications for industrial uses.
